What else is out there? Like so many civilizations before us, we look up at the stars and imagine someone looking back at us. Based on a recent Times article there are over 100 billion galaxies in the universe. Instead of looking for grand-alien-gestures, astrophysicists and friends—with new tech like the James Webb Space Telescope—are searching for smaller signals; and in the next 10-30 years, they feel confident those signals will provide answers.
